Martyr Doctor Faqihi Charity

In 1286 AH, the late Haider Ali Khan Ezzal Malik built a hospital in the current location of the hospital and dedicated half of the income of a village in Darud Zan region to the treatment of its poor patients. In 1322, a well-equipped hospital was built in this place by the then municipality. Martyr Dr. Faqihi Hospital was established in 1322 under the name of Saadi Hospital. One of the founders of this hospital, which was known for having 100 beds, is the late Ali Asghar Khan Hekmat Shirazi, who built it from the budget of the Health Department and Shiraz Municipality. He writes in his memoirs on March 27, 1323:
Saadi Hospital; This hospital was founded in 1318 due to the vow I made to God and God granted me success. At that time, I was working in the Ministry of Interior, and health affairs were also part of that ministry. In 1317, one day in Babakohi, I realized that Shiraz does not have a hospital that can meet the needs of the poor and poor patients. I made a promise to God that whenever success is achieved, I will build a special building for the hospital. This wish came true. Its plan, which was prepared for a hospital with 100 beds, was drawn by the French engineer Ciro and paid for from the budget of the Health Department and Shiraz Municipality.
